Graduate Frontend Engineer - React/TypeScript

As a Graduate Frontend Engineer at Bitpanda, you'll join the Onboarding & Activation team, shaping the first moments of a user's journey with our investment platform. You'll develop and maintain web applications using React, NextJS, and TypeScript, working closely with senior engineers to turn product and design concepts into clean, reliable code. Bitpanda serves over 7 million customers across Europe, and your work directly impacts millions of people's financial futures.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain web applications using React, NextJS, and TypeScript, working closely with senior engineers to turn product and design concepts into clean code.
• Investigate bugs, maintain existing features, and resolve edge-case issues by collaborating with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and Backend Engineers to identify and explain technical root causes.
• Write modular UI components, manage state logic, and improve frontend flows that directly impact your global user base.
• Follow established coding standards, write unit and integration tests using Jest and React Testing Library, and contribute ideas to improve engineering practices.
• Participate actively in code reviews, technical discussions, and team learning sessions to accelerate your engineering career.

What you bring

• A strong understanding of core Computer Science principles, including algorithms, object-oriented programming, operating systems, and how web browsers work.
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, React, and TypeScript, built through personal projects, open-source contributions, internships, or self-directed learning.
• A curious, analytical mindset with an aptitude for debugging complex issues and breaking down technical problems into clear solutions.
• A desire to follow engineering best practices, write clean and maintainable code, and use testing frameworks to validate your work.
• A strong interest in cryptocurrency, fintech, stocks, or financial markets.
