Graduate Software Engineer - Blockchain (Entry-Level)

As a Graduate Software Engineer at BIT, you will join the security and infrastructure team to work on blockchain wallet systems and protocol-level security. You'll analyse how mainstream blockchain protocols work, develop hardening plans against vulnerabilities, and contribute to the security-driven re-architecture of critical systems, all under the guidance of senior engineers.

What you'll do

• Analyse how mainstream blockchain protocols work, including Ethereum and EVM chains, Cosmos SDK, Substrate, and Solana, and help redesign wallet systems based on secure cryptographic mechanisms
• Develop hardening and mitigation plans against known protocol-level vulnerabilities and emerging risks
• Contribute to the security-driven re-architecture of existing systems, including defence-in-depth for critical modules and clear trust boundaries
• Write, debug, and test code for secure, high-performance systems under the guidance of senior engineers
• Track emerging blockchain attack techniques and defences, and turn research into shippable improvements
• Participate in security audits of internal systems and open-source dependencies, and drive remediation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, document technical work, and share knowledge through design docs, code reviews, and tech talks
• Take on ad-hoc technical tasks and projects as assigned

What you bring

• A degree in Computer Science, Cryptography, Cyber Security, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• Fresh graduate status or up to 2 years of work experience
• Strong command of at least one of Java, Go, Rust, or C++
• A solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and concurrency
• Familiarity with threat modelling, secure coding, penetration testing, and supply-chain security
• A "zero trust" security mindset, with the ability to turn ambiguous requirements into clear technical designs
• Strong analytical skills, eagerness to learn, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills; ability to communicate in both English and Mandarin

Nice to have

• Python programming experience
• Internship, research, or project experience such as CTFs, open-source contributions, or blockchain projects
