Growth Co-Founder — Up to 40% Equity

DevMarathon is seeking a Growth Co-Founder to build the commercial and distribution side of a challenge-based platform for evaluating developers through real execution. The product is live with early users and initial paid validation, but the company has not yet solved repeatable distribution. You will become the second founder, taking ownership of customer discovery, go-to-market strategy, founder-led sales, and the path to sustainable growth.

What you'll do

• Own customer discovery and user interviews with founders, engineering leaders, recruiters, universities, and developer communities
• Lead founder-led sales and early B2B customer acquisition
• Design and test go-to-market strategy, positioning, messaging, and pricing
• Experiment across distribution channels including direct outreach, partnerships, developer communities, universities, LinkedIn, X, Reddit, YouTube, SEO, events, and referral loops
• Conduct product demos, handle objections, and build relationships with potential customers
• Drive strategic partnerships and explore partnership opportunities
• Develop and execute organic growth and content strategy
• Run launches and campaigns, turning successful experiments into repeatable systems
• Help answer core questions: who feels this problem most strongly, who is willing to try DevMarathon, what prevents adoption, what makes them pay, and which customer segment to focus on first
• Influence product direction and contribute to company-wide strategic decisions alongside the technical founder

What you bring

• Strong professional English communication skills and the ability to speak confidently with founders, users, and decision-makers
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, learn, experiment, execute, and create results
• Experience in sales, growth, positioning, content, community, or distribution
• Ability to conduct interviews, demos, and video calls comfortably
• Strong writing and storytelling instincts, and the ability to explain complex ideas clearly
• Comfort starting conversations from zero and working independently without detailed instructions
• Preference for testing ideas over endless discussion; ability to move quickly from hypothesis to experiment to learning
• Resilience in the face of rejection and uncertainty, with the ability to handle changing priorities
• Genuine interest in startups, developer tools, AI, hiring, education, or technical communities

• Previous startup experience
• Background in B2B sales or customer acquisition
• Experience in developer tools or technical hiring spaces
