Head of Compliance

As Head of Compliance at AhoraCrypto, you lead the regulatory compliance function with full functional independence, reporting directly to senior management and the Board of Directors. You act as the main point of contact with the supervisory authority and shape how the company operates within the MiCA framework. This is a permanent, full-time role starting following authorization and prior to registration.

What you'll do

• Design, implement and maintain the compliance framework in line with MiCA and applicable national regulation.
• Ensure the services provided as a crypto-asset service provider meet regulatory requirements at all times.
• Draft, review and keep updated the internal policies covering regulatory compliance, AML/CTF, conflicts of interest, client protection and market conduct, and complaints handling.
• Act as the main point of contact with the supervisory authority, coordinating responses to requirements, formal communications and inspections.
• Oversee the AML/CTF system including the AML manual, KYC/KYB policies, risk assessment and transaction monitoring.
• Supervise the correct application of internal controls and propose corrective measures.
• Prepare periodic reports for management and the Board on the state of compliance and the main regulatory risks.
• Work continuously with product, technology and operations to ensure a compliance-by-design approach.
• Track regulatory change (MiCA, DORA, AML directives, GDPR) and define internal compliance training plans.
• Participate in the regulatory assessment of new products, services and significant operational changes.

What you bring

• A university degree in Law, Economics, Business Administration or similar field.
• Specific training in regulatory compliance, financial regulation or AML/CTF.
• At least 5 years in compliance functions at regulated financial entities, fintechs or crypto-asset service providers.
• Solid knowledge of the MiCA Regulation and of European and national AML/CTF rules.
• Previous experience interacting with regulators or supervisory authorities.
• The ability to act with independent judgement and to clearly communicate regulatory matters to governance bodies.
