Head of DeFi

As Head of DeFi at Symbiotic, you'll operate across our product suite in a senior commercial role working closely with our CEO and product leads. You'll drive partnerships, DeFi integrations, and strategic alliances to help shape the next generation of onchain finance.

What you'll do

• Support the leadership team with business development across our product verticals, streamlining partner pipelines, maintaining the CRM with call notes, and coordinating materials, research, and project management
• Bring strategic thinking to Symbiotic's commercial strategy
• Identify market opportunities and strategic alliances that position Symbiotic to win market share with an unfair advantage over competitors
• Keep current intelligence on target accounts
• Leverage your network to open doors and accelerate deals
• Collaborate with leadership and the product team to develop and execute Symbiotic's growth strategy
• Engage with our customer base and the broader DeFi community, gather feedback on Symbiotic's offering, and incorporate insights into product roadmaps and development initiatives

What you bring

• Strong evidence of commercial success with deals and strategic alliances you've closed
• Proven negotiation skills and the ability to hold terms and close deals
• Deep, pre-existing network among liquid crypto-native funds, DeFi curators, and blue-chip protocol founders
• DeFi fluency with a track record of driving measurable growth in TVL, liquidity, or protocol adoption, and understanding of value flows across lending, CDPs, DEXs, and yield-bearing stablecoins
• Experience working as or alongside curators, allocating capital into on-chain assets and vaults, and building or running liquidity mining programmes
• Understanding of how governance works across major protocols and experience taking an asset or product through that process to achieve integration
• Winning mentality and the ability to work independently
• Deep understanding of the lending and borrowing product landscape
• Entrepreneurial mindset and passion for building on-chain financial applications
