
As an HR Operations and Payroll Manager at Ledger, you own payroll and HR operations end-to-end on a fixed-term basis (6 months). You'll sit at the core of our People function, navigating compliance deadlines and redesigning processes across a global organization with around 600 professionals across nine offices.
What you'll do
- Manage monthly payroll runs end-to-end, including variable elements and statutory filings such as DSN, ensuring nothing slips and spotting issues before they become problems
- Handle employee visa applications, work permits, and international hires across multiple jurisdictions, working to strict legal deadlines
- Structure and oversee Employer of Record (EOR) arrangements where Ledger does not have a local entity, including contract setup, local payroll coordination, and third-party provider management
- Administer apprenticeship contracts and internship agreements, managing pay scales, OPCO relations, funding, amendments, and liaison with partner institutions
- Manage tax and declarative aspects of employee shareholding such as free shares and stock options, plus mandatory reporting including INSEE surveys and BDESE contributions
- Own HR processes from onboarding to offboarding and continuously improve them
What you bring
- At least 5 years of experience in an HR Operations team
- Deep expertise in French payroll, DSN, and statutory filings
- Immigration case management experience
- EOR and international operations knowledge
- Familiarity with OPCO and apprenticeship frameworks
- Equity administration experience such as AGA and stock options
- A process design mindset
- Rigorous, deadline-driven approach
