HR Operations Specialist

As an HR Operations Specialist at Jump Trading, you support a seamless employee lifecycle experience across the APAC region while contributing to key HR projects. You work closely with cross-functional teams including talent acquisition, talent development, legal, compliance, and business leaders, alongside external vendors, gaining exposure to benefits, payroll, compensation, immigration, global mobility, HRIS, and employee relations.

What you'll do

• Manage end-to-end payroll operations across APAC in partnership with external vendors, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, compliance, and continuous process improvement
• Support benefits administration across APAC, including employee queries, enrollments and changes, coordination with brokers and vendors, and annual renewals
• Manage HRIS transactions and employee data in Workday, ensuring accurate lifecycle processing, strong data integrity, and effective downstream payroll support
• Partner with the global people operations team to continuously improve the full employee lifecycle, managing processes such as contract renewals, reference checks, VOE issuance, and support for Shanghai Hukou applications
• Conduct HR data audits, maintain physical personnel files, respond to general HR inquiries, and validate employee data within Workday
• Update regional employee handbooks on the Company Intranet (Confluence) as policies evolve
• Research and ensure compliance with employment and benefits laws and regulations
• Protect company information by maintaining strict confidentiality
• Identify opportunities where processes can be improved and take entrepreneurial initiative to implement them
• Complete other duties as assigned or needed

What you bring

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field with a strong academic record
• At least 3 years of experience in HR operations, payroll, benefits, or a related area
• Familiarity with HR systems such as Workday, Ultimate Software, PeopleSoft, or Greenhouse
• Understanding of benefit plan principles and relevant laws
• Advanced Excel proficiency, including pivot tables and V-lookups
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Interest in workflow automation and a proactive approach to technology
• Background in process improvement and project management
• Creative problem-solving skills with resilience to change and adaptability to ad hoc situations
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, with experience working across various management levels and functions
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects with minimal supervision
• A self-starter with intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn broadly across HR operations
• Reliable and predictable availability
