Internal Audit - Manager

As an Internal Audit Manager at Ripple, you lead the IT audit function within the Legal and Compliance organization, serving as a key part of the company's 3rd line of defense. You conduct risk-based technical audits, build relationships across the organization, and help strengthen internal controls and governance.

What you'll do

• Manage IT audits by conducting interviews, identifying key risks and controls, drafting work papers, gathering evidence, performing testing, and reviewing workpapers.
• Prepare audit work papers adhering to international auditing standards for quality and content, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Evaluate and detail the design and efficiency of internal controls, identifying control gaps and opportunities for process improvement.
• Collaborate with Information Security and GRC partners to assess audit findings, communicate control weaknesses, and assist in developing management action plans for mitigation while evaluating the adequacy of responses.
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports outlining findings and recommendations, presenting results to senior management for review and action.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to support examination efforts, ensuring compliance and transparency in audit processes.
• Manage and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and professional development.

What you bring

• A Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent business field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience conducting internal or external risk-based IT audits.
• Proven knowledge of accounting principles and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Experience performing audits across Financial Services, Banking and Capital Markets industry.
• A solid understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley and/or COSO/COBIT internal control frameworks.
• Certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and/or Certified Information Security Professional (CISSP).
