Junior Market Developer (Wallet)

As a Junior Market Developer at Mukuru, you help grow the Wallet and Value-Added Services (VAS) business by unlocking new opportunities and driving customer adoption in key markets. You shape market growth, build strategic partnerships, and bring innovative financial products to life across Africa.

What you'll do

• Champion the Wallet and VAS strategy within your assigned markets, identifying opportunities to acquire new customers and increase product adoption.
• Partner with sales and marketing teams to improve market penetration, customer engagement, and distribution channels.
• Develop and maintain relationships with business partners, regulators, service providers, and key stakeholders, supporting commercial negotiations and partnership discussions.
• Research market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify commercially viable opportunities that support Mukuru's growth strategy.
• Develop business cases and lead discussions with potential partners to build mutually beneficial relationships.
• Coordinate cross-functional projects from planning through execution, monitoring timelines, identifying risks, and driving solutions.
• Keep abreast of developments in payments, fintech, digital wallets, and VAS offerings, using market insights to support data-driven business decisions.
• Contribute to pricing reviews and market performance initiatives.
