(Junior) Risk Manager (m/f/d)

As a Risk Manager at tradias, you monitor and validate risk exposures across market, liquidity, and counterparty dimensions for a fully licensed securities trading bank regulated by BaFin. Based in Frankfurt, tradias connects traditional financial markets with digital assets, serving institutional investors. You support the risk team in running core metrics, automating dashboards, and developing models for crypto portfolios alongside senior management.

What you'll do

• Monitor risk limits and exposures across market, liquidity, and counterparty risk, and support escalations
• Run and validate core risk metrics and risk-bearing capacity calculations
• Maintain and automate risk dashboards, data checks, and reporting pipelines
• Support stress tests and scenario analyses for market events
• Assist with quantitative counterparty risk reviews and exposure tracking
• Help develop, test, and document risk models for crypto portfolios
• Prepare concise inputs for risk reports and projects to senior management

What you bring

• A strong academic foundation in a quantitative field such as economics, mathematics, physics, or computer science
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively working with data
• Very good knowledge of the MS Office suite
• Interest in traditional financial products and digital assets
• Strong communication skills in English and German
• A solid understanding of regulatory requirements for a securities trading institution, including IFR, WpIG, and MaRisk

Nice to have

• 1-2 years of experience in risk management in the financial services industry
• Experience in risk model development with programming skills such as VBA, Python, R, or SQL
• Enthusiasm and initial experience in the area of digital assets
