Lead Product Manager - Exchange, Trading

Crypto.comChicago, IL, US
ProductLead / HeadHybrid

As Lead Product Manager for Exchange Trading at Crypto.com, you own the U.S. futures and regulated derivatives roadmap across designated contract markets (DCM) and futures commission merchants (FCM) surfaces. You report to the VP of Exchange Product and have full autonomy over prioritization, tradeoffs, and shipping decisions. Your mandate is to make U.S. futures trading a default desk for professional traders, driving volume, trust, and wallet share through products that let traders open, manage, and close risk without friction.

What you'll do

  • Own the U.S. Exchange trading and futures roadmap as the directly responsible individual. You set milestones, sequence work, resolve cross-team dependencies, and sign off on all launches in this scope.
  • Ship futures products traders actually use. You decide which contracts, workflows, and tools come next and ruthlessly cut features that don't serve trader outcomes.
  • Translate DCM and FCM mechanics into product decisions. You embed your fluency in margins, clearing, order lifecycle, and operational constraints into designs that scale without becoming compliance afterthoughts.
  • Operate at growth-mode pace. You prioritize ruthlessly, cut scope, and ship when volume and urgency are both rising, informed by experience scaling product inside an FCM or futures operation.
  • Partner across risk, compliance, engineering, and operations. You align stakeholders around clear outcomes, surface regulatory and operational constraints early, and own the FCM complexity rather than waiting for others to solve it.
  • Talk to traders as a peer. You run research and feedback loops that reveal actual behavior, not stated preferences. You ask traders to walk you through how they currently enter, manage, and exit futures positions.
  • Own the metrics. You instrument volume drivers, size opportunities, and prioritize without waiting for analysis to be handed to you. Your work shows up in volume, engagement, and ship cadence.

What you bring

  • Proven DCM and/or FCM futures product experience, or hands-on experience as a fast-paced operator inside an FCM. You have owned or shipped futures and derivatives product in a DCM or FCM context, and can walk through what broke under scale and how you responded.
  • Lead-level product ownership of a complex trading or markets surface end-to-end, with concrete examples of resolving dependencies and still shipping.
  • Deep fluency in futures and markets. You know contract specs, margins, order types, position lifecycle, and how professional traders actually trade futures.
  • Evidence of shipping under real constraint. You can point to a regulated launch where clearing, risk, compliance, or operations constraints were genuine obstacles and you still delivered a usable product.
  • Cross-functional leadership without hierarchy. You align engineering, risk, compliance, and operations around outcomes and escalate only what must escalate.
  • Data ownership. You instrument your own funnels and volume drivers, size opportunities, and prioritize without waiting for analysis.

Nice to have

  • Prior product management at an exchange, brokerage, or advanced trading platform (crypto or traditional).
  • Product experience building for institutional or professional traders.
  • Hands-on futures trading or daily use of the products you ship.
  • Direct experience standing up or scaling U.S.-regulated futures distribution, including FCM onboarding, DCM listings, and margin products.
  • Design sensibility for dense trading UIs. You can evaluate hierarchy, density, and interaction cost with specifics.
  • Fluency with AI-native workflows and using AI tools to move faster with human-in-the-loop judgment.
