Lead Product Manager - Exchange, Trading

Crypto.comNew York, NY, US
ProductLead / HeadHybrid

As Lead Product Manager for Exchange Trading at Crypto.com, you own the U.S. futures and regulated derivatives roadmap across designated contract markets (DCM) and futures commission merchants (FCM) surfaces. You report directly to the VP of Exchange Product, setting strategy and execution for a product surface where volume, trust, and share of wallet depend on frictionless risk management for professional traders. Your mandate spans product strategy, cross-functional execution with engineering, risk, compliance, and operations, and measurable outcomes in volume, retention, and shipping velocity.

What you'll do

  • Own the U.S. Exchange trading and futures roadmap end to end. You are the directly responsible individual for the charter, setting milestones, sequencing work, resolving cross-team dependencies, and signing off on all launches in this scope.
  • Ship futures products traders actually use. You decide which contracts, workflows, and tools come next, prioritizing ruthlessly and delivering outcomes that traders feel when managing risk, not just shipping features.
  • Translate DCM and FCM mechanics into product decisions. You bring fluency in how designated contract markets and futures commission merchants operate—margins, clearing, order lifecycle, operational constraints—into product that scales without becoming a compliance burden after launch.
  • Operate at growth-mode pace. You have seen or run product scaling inside an FCM or futures shop and know how to prioritize ruthlessly, cut scope, and still ship when volume and urgency are both rising.
  • Partner across risk, compliance, engineering, and operations. You align stakeholders around clear outcomes, surface regulatory and operational constraints early, and own translating FCM requirements into executable product roadmaps.
  • Research traders like a peer. You run research and feedback loops, asking traders to show you how they currently enter, manage, and exit futures positions rather than asking whether they would use a feature. You distinguish what traders say from what their behavior reveals.
  • Own the metrics. You instrument what matters, size opportunities, and prioritize without waiting for analysis to be handed to you. Your work shows up in volume, engagement, and ship cadence.

What you bring

  • DCM and/or FCM futures product experience, or hands-on experience as an operator inside an FCM during fast-paced growth. You have owned or shipped futures and derivatives product in a DCM or FCM context and can walk through what you owned, what broke under scale, and what you did next.
  • Lead-level product ownership of a complex trading or markets product surface end to end. You can describe a time dependencies broke down and what you did to still ship.
  • Futures and markets fluency. You know contract specifications, margins, order types, position lifecycle, and how professionals actually trade futures. You can explain what makes futures UX and workflow great versus frustrating.
  • Evidence of shipping under constraint. You can point to a launch where regulatory, clearing, risk, or operational constraints were real and you still delivered a usable product for traders.
  • Cross-functional leadership without title theater. You align engineering, risk, compliance, and operations around outcomes, escalating only what must escalate and owning the rest.
  • Data ownership. You instrument your own funnel and volume drivers, size opportunities, and prioritize without waiting for analysis to be handed to you.

Nice to have

  • Prior product management work at an exchange, brokerage, or advanced trading platform in crypto or traditional markets.
  • Product experience serving institutional or professional traders.
  • Hands-on futures trading or daily use of the products you ship.
  • Experience standing up or scaling U.S.-regulated futures distribution, including FCM onboarding, DCM listings, and margin products.
  • Design sensibility for dense trading UIs. You can evaluate information hierarchy, density, and interaction cost with specifics.
  • Proficiency using AI-native workflows to move faster with human-in-the-loop judgment.

  • 401(k) plan with employer match
