Lead Product Manager - Exchange, Trading

Crypto.comUS
ProductLead / HeadHybrid

As Lead Product Manager for Exchange Trading at Crypto.com, you own the trading and futures product roadmap for the U.S. market, with a sharp mandate on futures and regulated derivatives across Designated Contract Market (DCM) and Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) surfaces. You make the call on prioritization, tradeoffs, and what ships. Volume, trust, and share of wallet depend on whether futures traders can open, manage, and close risk without friction, and whether you can ship at the pace a growth-mode FCM demands.

What you'll do

  • Own the U.S. Exchange trading and futures roadmap end to end. You are the directly responsible individual (DRI) for the charter, set milestones, sequence work, resolve cross-team dependencies, and sign off on everything before it ships.
  • Ship futures products traders actually use. You decide which contracts, workflows, and tools come next and which ideas never make the cut. Ownership means delivering outcomes traders feel when they manage risk, not just shipping features.
  • Translate DCM and FCM dynamics into product decisions. You bring fluency in how designated contract markets and futures commission merchants work—margins, clearing, order lifecycle, ops constraints—into product that can scale without becoming a compliance problem after launch.
  • Operate at growth-mode pace. You prioritize ruthlessly, cut scope, and ship when volume and urgency are both rising. You've seen or run product inside an FCM or futures shop scaling fast.
  • Partner across risk, compliance, engineering, and operations. You align stakeholders around clear outcomes, surface regulatory and operational constraints early, and don't wait for someone else to figure out the FCM part.
  • Talk to traders as a peer. You run research and feedback loops. You ask "Show me how you currently enter, manage, and exit this futures position," not "Would you use this feature?" You distinguish what traders say from what their behavior reveals.
  • Own the numbers. You instrument what matters, size opportunities, and prioritize without waiting for analysis to be handed to you. Your work shows up in volume, engagement, and ship cadence.

What you bring

  • DCM and/or FCM futures product experience, or FCM growth-mode operator experience. You have owned or shipped futures and derivatives product in a DCM or FCM context, or worked inside an FCM in a fast-paced growth mode and can walk through what you owned, what broke under scale, and what you did next.
  • Lead-level product ownership of a complex trading or markets product surface end to end. You can describe a time dependencies broke down and what you did to still ship.
  • Futures and markets fluency. You know contract specs, margins, order types, position lifecycle, and how professionals actually trade futures. You can explain what makes futures UX and workflow great versus frustrating.
  • Evidence of shipping under constraint. You can point to a launch where regulatory, clearing, risk, or ops constraints were real and you still delivered a trader-usable product.
  • Cross-functional leadership. You align engineering, risk, compliance, and operations around outcomes. You escalate only what must escalate and own the rest.
  • Data ownership. You instrument your own funnel and volume drivers, size the opportunity, and prioritize without waiting for analysis to be handed to you.

Nice to have

  • Prior exchange, brokerage, or advanced trading platform product management experience in crypto or traditional finance.
  • Institutional or pro-trader product experience.
  • Hands-on futures trading or daily use of the products you ship.
  • Experience standing up or scaling U.S.-regulated futures distribution (FCM onboarding, DCM listings, margin products).
  • Design sensibility for dense trading UIs. You can evaluate hierarchy, density, and interaction cost with specifics.
  • Use of AI-native workflows to move faster with human-in-the-loop judgment.
