Legal and Compliance Manager(Financial Services Senior Experienced Hires

As Legal and Compliance Manager at Apex Network, you architect the legal strategy and regulatory compliance framework for a Web3 company operating across Africa, Europe, and the Americas. You serve as the primary bridge between cutting-edge innovation and global compliance standards, ensuring our products and cross-border operations remain compliant while supporting aggressive business growth.

What you'll do

• Research and interpret evolving regulations for fintech and Web3 in Ghana, Kenya, Cameroon, Poland, and the Americas.
• Lead licensing and regulatory approval applications for necessary financial licenses (IMTO, PSP, VASP, EMI, etc.) across target jurisdictions.
• Design, implement, and manage robust AML/KYC/CFT policies and internal audit procedures.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, partnership contracts, and vendor terms.
• Act as the primary point of contact for regulators, financial intelligence units, and external legal counsel.
• Proactively identify legal risks in product roadmaps and provide actionable solutions to the executive team.

What you bring

• A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree.
• 10 years of experience in legal and compliance roles.
• At least 3-5 years of specific experience in fintech, crypto, or Web3.
• Deep understanding of blockchain technology, smart contracts, and decentralized finance (DeFi).
• Demonstrated experience managing compliance in at least two of the core regions: Africa, EU, or Americas.
• A track record of taking full responsibility for outcomes and delivering results in high-performance environments.
• Ability to distill complex legal concepts into clear business advice for non-legal stakeholders.
