Legal Counsel, Web3 Products

As Legal Counsel for Web3 Products at OKX, you provide legal advice and support to internal stakeholders across new products, features, and marketing materials for the Web3 business. You work in a rapidly expanding crypto exchange and wallet platform that serves millions of users and hundreds of large institutions, assessing risk in newly regulated and unregulated environments where multiple regulatory regimes apply.

What you'll do

• Provide legal advice and support to internal stakeholders for new products, new features to existing products, marketing material of Web3 products and changes in applicable regulatory environments
• Draft, maintain, review and negotiate a wide range of documents, including commercial agreements, internal policies, terms of service, legal disclaimers and other templates for business teams
• Liaise and manage external counsel whenever required
• Monitor and advise on legal and compliance developments, especially in the US, and their impact on the Web3 business
• Maintain and brief internal stakeholders on internal standard operating processes that the Web3 Products legal team owns
• Provide general support to the Web3 business teams

What you bring

• 8-15 years of post-qualification experience as a qualified lawyer with experience in blockchain and decentralised Web3 products and services, including token projects, dApps and aggregator platforms
• U.S. Bar admission is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with product management and software development workflows
• Sound judgment on business practices, internal and external stakeholder relationship management and reputational risk
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• Strong organisational and detail-oriented skills, presentable with excellent drafting and communication abilities, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to manage stakeholders in high pressure and time-sensitive situations
