MastercardWan Chai District, Hong Kong SAR
EngineeringMidOn-site

Mastercard is seeking a Manager for Products and Solutions to drive product development for stablecoin-enabled and Web3 payment solutions in Hong Kong. You will identify, design, and launch new payment capabilities that connect stablecoin ecosystems with Mastercard's global network, acceptance footprint, digitization, and security solutions. You will partner closely with local regulators, stablecoin issuers, and ecosystem participants such as wallet providers, exchanges, fintechs, banks, and merchants to develop compliant, scalable solutions that unlock real-world utility in consumer and commercial payments, cross-border remittances, settlement innovations, and programmable payment experiences.

What you'll do

  • Define the product vision, principles, and roadmap for stablecoin and Web3 payment solutions in Hong Kong, aligned with Mastercard's global strategy and local market needs.
  • Conduct customer and partner discovery to identify high-impact use cases such as merchant acceptance, on/off ramps, cross-border payments, B2B settlement, tokenized deposits, and programmable payouts.
  • Build business cases and prioritize initiatives using data including market sizing, unit economics, risk and controls assessment, and feasibility analysis.
  • Own end-to-end product development from concept through PRD, MVP, launch, and iteration.
  • Translate regulatory, network, security, and partner requirements into clear product specifications, user journeys, and platform requirements covering APIs, settlement flows, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Partner with engineering and architecture teams to define system design, integration patterns, and operational readiness including monitoring, incident response, and SLAs.
  • Drive agile execution through backlog management, sprint planning, milestones, and release management to ensure timely delivery and high quality.
  • Lead partnerships with stablecoin issuers, wallet providers, exchanges, banks, and fintechs to design joint solutions leveraging Mastercard capabilities.
  • Structure product partnering models covering commercial and technical aspects: integration approach, responsibilities, data sharing, service management, and joint go-to-market requirements.
  • Represent Mastercard in ecosystem forums and partner steering committees as needed.
  • Partner with local regulators and internal stakeholders in Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Cybersecurity to ensure solutions meet relevant requirements including AML/KYC, sanctions screening, travel rule considerations, consumer protection, disclosures, and data privacy.
  • Proactively identify risks across custody, smart contracts, fraud, operational resiliency, and third-party vendor management, and design mitigation strategies in product and process.
  • Incorporate Mastercard assets such as tokenization, identity and fraud capabilities, security-by-design, dispute and chargeback considerations, and network rails to enable safe and scalable stablecoin flows.
  • Ensure product design supports enterprise-grade controls including auditability, traceability, logging, governance, and policy enforcement.
  • Partner with Sales, Business Development, and Marketing on launch plans covering positioning, pricing input, partner enablement, training, merchant onboarding, and success metrics.
  • Track product performance and adoption, run experiments, and iterate based on analytics, partner feedback, and operational insights.

What you bring

  • 10+ years of product management experience in payments, fintech, or financial infrastructure.
  • Proven track record shipping B2B and B2B2C platform products including APIs, rails, settlement systems, and risk services from ideation through launch.
  • Strong understanding of payment flows including authorization, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, chargebacks, disputes, KYC/AML, and fraud.
  • Working knowledge of digital assets and stablecoins including issuance models, wallet infrastructure, on/off ramps, custody concepts, blockchain transaction lifecycle, and common risk considerations.
  • Ability to collaborate with regulators and compliance stakeholders, translating requirements into product controls and customer-ready capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to align senior stakeholders, drive decisions, and influence without authority.

Nice to have

  • Experience building products involving tokenization, digital identity, fraud and risk systems, or secure transaction platforms.
  • Familiarity with Hong Kong's regulatory environment related to digital assets and payments, such as the virtual assets ecosystem, licensing regimes, and AML expectations.
  • Experience with smart contracts and blockchain integration patterns including EVM chains, custody providers, key management, and signing services.
  • Background working with large-scale networks, schemes, or global payment ecosystems.
