
As a Middle Office Analyst at Auros, you play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our trading activities. You focus on reconciliations, daily bookings, and managing financial processes for an algorithmic trading and market-making firm that facilitates 3-4% of global daily crypto volumes across 10+ global locations and over 50 venues. This role covers the US time zone and Central/South America.
What you'll do
- Monitor accounts and portfolios using a combination of tools and analytic skills, and assist in daily reconciliations
- Assist the trading team with asset management across various exchanges and follow up on fund transfers when necessary
- Work individually, with other teams, or with external contacts to resolve identified discrepancies and troubleshoot systemic issues promptly and effectively
- Manage creditor interactions by verifying terms, facilitating drawdown and payment of loan principal and interest, and auditing invoices and addresses
- Produce scheduled and unscheduled reports, analyses, and historical records as required by mandate or in support of other teams
- Help develop quality assurance practices and convert manual processes into effective, automated processes
- Conduct thorough break analysis and resolve discrepancies in trading data
- Assist with various ad hoc projects and tasks as required by the team
What you bring
- A Bachelor's degree from a reputable institution in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 3-5 years of middle office experience, preferably within a multi-national organisation and ideally in digital currencies, trading, or other financial services
- Ability to raise issues with peers and managers and communicate with clients and business partners to negotiate terms as necessary
- Excellent ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and demonstrate self-reliance and self-motivation in a remote setting
- Good initiative, strong sense of urgency, and personal resilience to manage the ups and downs of fast-paced teams
- Proficiency in Excel and financial software systems
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external partners
- A self-starter mindset who goes beyond what is asked to get the job done well
