OG.com - Legal Counsel - Capital and Prediction Markets

As Legal Counsel for Capital and Prediction Markets at OG.com, you will serve as the legal team's expert on SEC law and regulations applicable to national securities exchanges and broker-dealers, with a focus on the intersection of securities laws with prediction markets and jointly regulated derivatives products. You'll report to the Chief Legal Officer in the U.S. and provide proactive, solution-oriented legal and regulatory advice to multiple stakeholders, enabling the development and launch of OG.com products and services while managing legal and regulatory risks.

What you'll do

• Handle legal and regulatory matters for SEC-registered businesses in the US as part of the OG.com Legal Team
• Develop expertise in securities laws, SEC regulations, FINRA rules, and their interaction in both the US and on a cross-border basis, primarily with Europe, as well as CFTC law and NFA regulations
• Focus on legal and regulatory matters involving a diverse range of financial instruments, including securities products, tokenized securities, single stock futures, equity perpetuals, prediction markets, and derivatives
• Assist business units with contract terms and conditions, negotiations, and legal support across licensing, data provisioning, and business operations
• Draft, review, and update policies, procedures, terms and conditions, and trading rules related to various regulated products in the US
• Represent OG.com on a variety of topics with the SEC
• Review marketing and sales literature, presentations, and educational materials for compliance with applicable SEC laws and regulations
• Work with external counsel to ensure arrangements comply with relevant law and regulation in jurisdictions where OG.com operates

What you bring

• Qualification as a licensed lawyer with 3 to 5 years of experience in financial product legal and regulatory work handling issues for SEC-regulated clients, either in a major law firm, as a licensed entity such as a broker-dealer or national securities exchange, or at the SEC
• Excellent knowledge of US financial laws and regulatory structures, with a track record of maintaining licenses and building products and operations under these frameworks, including cross-border interactions
• Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle high volume and balance competing demands
• Ability to concisely and effectively communicate with business teams and management
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders
• Willingness to accommodate calls and meetings across different time zones when required
• Ability to identify problems and propose solutions
