Portfolio Finance

As a Repo Trader on Jump Trading's Global Treasury Team, you manage the daily financing of the firm's fixed income assets and help develop the next iteration of Treasury. You work across APAC and US teams, interacting with all organizational levels to optimize funding strategies and support the growing fixed income portfolio.

What you'll do

• Manage and optimize financing for the overall fixed income portfolio across repo, TRS, and other financing channels, with a specific focus in Europe
• Partner with Traders and Portfolio Managers to provide actionable financing market color, pricing analysis, and counterparty intelligence
• Build and maintain strong relationships with funding counterparties to improve pricing, increase capacity, diversify counterparty access, and support entry into new markets
• Work cross-functionally with business teams to support new business activity
• Proactively drive strategic initiatives to optimize funding of a growing fixed income portfolio
• Assist US, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Group Treasurer in all aspects of cash and collateral management
• Handle foreign exchange and other money market instruments
• Provide regional assistance for trade team analysis regarding PnL and cost allocations
• Negotiate and manage margin terms with key counterparties
• Work closely with Risk and Back Office functions to support daily trading activities
• Assist in identifying and developing new procedures, funding structures, and automation of processes
• Support regional treasury work on new business initiatives in Europe

What you bring

• A Bachelor's Degree in STEM, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field
• At least 5 years of buy or sell side experience in repo trading, or supporting these desks in a technical/quant strategy role with interest in transitioning to a business-facing role
• Technical fluency with Python or other programming languages
• Sound understanding of short term rates complex and money markets
• Strong understanding of managing and optimizing financial resource constraints with banks
• Deep knowledge of the fixed income financing counterparty base
• Proven ability to build strong internal partnerships and external counterparty relationships
• Demonstrated track record of improving processes, workflows, and infrastructure through automation and technology
• Reliable and predictable availability

Nice to have

• Experience trading STIR products
• Solid understanding of cross asset financing complex
