As a Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) Sales Engineer at Sectigo, you serve as a specialized technical resource helping enterprise customers modernize their cryptographic infrastructure and prepare for the transition to quantum-safe security. You partner with regional Sales Engineers and Account Executives to articulate the technical value of Sectigo's solutions through customer discovery, solution architecture, technical presentations, cryptographic assessments, Proof of Concepts (PoCs), and hands-on implementation activities. This senior-level role requires exceptional technical, presentation, consulting, and communication skills to guide strategic customers through cryptographic modernization and quantum readiness initiatives.

What you'll do

  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor to CISOs, enterprise architects, PKI administrators, security teams, and executive stakeholders, guiding customers through cryptographic modernization and quantum readiness initiatives
  • Partner with regional Sales Engineers and Account Executives to identify, develop, and support strategic opportunities involving cryptographic modernization, Certificate Lifecycle Management (CLM), Private PKI, and Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC)
  • Lead technical discovery engagements to assess customer cryptographic environments, certificate inventories, trust relationships, enterprise PKI architectures, and machine identities
  • Conduct cryptographic and quantum readiness assessments, helping customers identify risks, prioritize modernization efforts, and develop practical migration strategies
  • Deliver executive presentations, technical workshops, demonstrations, and architectural reviews that communicate the immediate and long-term value of Sectigo's security solutions
  • Provide deep technical guidance during architecture reviews and solution design, ensuring deployments align with customer requirements, security best practices, and enterprise architecture standards
  • Lead Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements by planning, deploying, configuring, implementing, and validating Sectigo solutions within customer environments
  • Perform hands-on implementation activities including deployment of discovery technologies, technical integrations, connector configuration, and validation as required during customer engagements
  • Bridge the gap between technology and business objectives by helping customers understand the value of cryptographic modernization, Certificate Lifecycle Management, and machine identity security
  • Assist with sales proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and Requests for Information (RFIs), ensuring technical accuracy and competitive differentiation
  • Develop and refine repeatable methodologies, assessment frameworks, technical playbooks, reference architectures, and best practices supporting Sectigo's cryptographic modernization practice
  • Contribute to the SE Readiness Program by developing subject matter expertise, sharing technical best practices, maintaining current knowledge of assigned solutions, and delivering technical enablement to the field organization
  • Work closely with Product Management and Engineering, providing field-driven feedback to influence future product capabilities, customer experience, and solution strategy
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Customer Success, Professional Services, and Strategic Alliances to support solution adoption, partner enablement, and customer success
  • Represent Sectigo as a technical thought leader by participating in customer workshops, executive briefings, conferences, webinars, industry events, and technical content development
  • Participate in strategic alliance initiatives, strengthening relationships with technology partners and strategic customers
  • Travel regionally and internationally for customer-facing activities, strategic partner engagements, conferences, and internal planning sessions

What you bring

  • Minimum 7+ years of industry experience, with at least 3-4 years in an enterprise pre-sales environment
  • Proven experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Security Architect, or Professional Services Engineer supporting enterprise security, identity, or cloud solutions
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server platforms, Linux environments, and enterprise authentication technologies
  • Extensive experience with Certificate Lifecycle Management (CLM), including automated certificate issuance, renewal, revocation, and lifecycle automation
  • Expertise establishing and managing Private PKI environments, including Certificate Authorities (CAs), enterprise trust models, and PKI integrations
  • Deep understanding of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), SSL/TLS, X.509 certificates, digital identity, cryptographic principles, and machine identity management
  • Strong understanding of cryptographic algorithms, key management, Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), digital signatures, and enterprise trust architectures
  • Working knowledge of cryptographic modernization, crypto-agility principles, and Post-Quantum Cryptography concepts
  • Experience conducting enterprise technical discovery, architecture assessments, and solution design for complex customer environments
  • Hands-on experience deploying, configuring, integrating, and validating enterprise security solutions
  • Ability to travel more than 35% of the time to assigned regions and territories

Nice to have

  • Microsoft Certified Professional certification
  • Linux/Solaris/UNIX System Administration experience
  • Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud certification
  • Security, PKI, or cryptography-related certifications
  • Strong cloud experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
  • Proficiency with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash) and REST APIs
  • Experience selling Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) technical solutions
  • Languages other than English
