Principal Backend Development Engineer(Risk)

As a Principal Backend Development Engineer (Risk) at Bybit, you develop and maintain core market data modules for one of the world's leading cryptocurrency exchanges serving over 80 million users. You design and optimize real-time market data computation and low-latency push pipelines, ensuring accuracy and timeliness under high-concurrency, high-throughput scenarios.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain core market data modules
• Design and optimize real-time market data computation and low-latency push pipelines
• Tune system performance under high-concurrency, high-throughput scenarios to ensure accuracy and timeliness of market data
• Participate in technical design reviews and code reviews
• Build system observability infrastructure, including monitoring and alerting, distributed tracing, and logging systems
• Participate in production incident investigation and post-mortem reviews

What you bring

• 3+ years of Go development experience with a solid understanding of Go's concurrency model, memory model, and GC mechanics
• Experience designing high-concurrency, low-latency systems with familiarity of common performance bottlenecks and optimization techniques
• Familiarity with message queues such as Kafka or Redis Streams in data streaming architectures
• Proficiency with real-time data transport protocols such as WebSocket and gRPC
• Strong engineering discipline with clean code structure and a habit of conducting code reviews
