PRINCIPAL ENGINEER (Special Project at NOBI)

As a Principal Engineer at NOBI, you will spearhead critical technical initiatives for a special project, reporting directly to the CTO and working closely with the founders. This senior-level individual contributor role is designed for someone who wants to focus on high-impact technical contributions without direct reports. You will collaborate in a small, flat team with other senior engineers to drive cutting-edge fintech and crypto solutions.

What you'll do

• Drive end-to-end technical implementations from concept to completion
• Make high-impact technical decisions that align with strategic objectives
• Work closely with the CTO and other C-level leaders to translate high-level goals into actionable technical roadmaps
• Oversee project milestones and ensure successful delivery of critical features
• Design, build, and optimize system architectures in partnership with fellow senior individual contributors
• Identify technical issues, propose resolutions, and maintain high standards for system reliability
• Stay current on crypto, blockchain, and fintech trends to drive continuous innovation

What you bring

• 4+ years in a software engineering role or similar senior position
• 2+ years working on fintech, crypto, or blockchain projects
• A proven track record delivering complex projects successfully
• Comfort working with financial data, metrics, and investment concepts
• Strong problem-solving abilities with practical knowledge of modern engineering practices
• Ability to operate as an individual contributor in a small, flat team structure
• Must be based in or near Jabodetabek and able to commute to the office as needed

Nice to have

• A bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or a related field
• Participation in competitive programming, Math Olympiads, or algo-trading competitions
• Familiarity with Golang, TypeScript, RPC, SQL, and popular blockchains such as Ethereum, Solana, and Bitcoin
