Principal Rust Development Engineer

As a Principal Rust Development Engineer at Bybit, you design and develop core wallet modules and in-memory systems for one of the world's leading cryptocurrency exchanges serving over 80 million users. You work on high-performance backend infrastructure that handles blockchain integrations, transaction signing, and asset security at global scale.

What you'll do

• Design and develop core wallet modules using Rust, optimizing system architecture for performance and stability
• Design and implement efficient in-memory systems to improve system throughput, latency, and robustness
• Integrate with various blockchain networks to handle transfers, rollbacks, transaction signing, broadcasting, and related external systems
• Implement and strengthen system and asset security to protect users' and the company's crypto assets
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and security
• Work closely with team members to drive project progress and share technical knowledge to elevate the team's overall capabilities

What you bring

• 3+ years of backend development experience with a solid foundation in computer science
• Rust development experience, or proficiency in similar languages such as C/C++ or Go with a willingness to learn Rust
• Familiarity with multi-threading and concurrent programming, with experience in high-performance or financial-grade system development
• Strong communication skills and collaborative team spirit
• Genuine passion for technology and a drive to continuously learn and explore
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently take ownership of complex tasks

Nice to have

• Experience with blockchain wallet development or similar financial systems
• Familiarity with on-chain or off-chain cryptographic algorithms and ability to participate in security audits and identify and remediate potential vulnerabilities
