Principal Security Development Engineer

As a Principal Security Development Engineer at Bybit, you research, design, and implement security systems and platforms for one of the world's leading cryptocurrency exchanges, serving over 80 million users. You work across data security, sensitive information handling, compliance detection, and secure operations, identifying and mitigating risks across Bybit's business infrastructure while collaborating with infrastructure and risk control teams to embed security capabilities across the company.

What you'll do

• Research and develop security systems and platforms covering data security, sensitive information identification and desensitization, and secure operation platforms to continuously improve the company's overall security protection capabilities
• Design and implement security policies and detection logic to support compliance and security needs
• Deeply understand business system architecture, identify potential security risks, and propose feasible technical solutions
• Participate in emergency response and review of security incidents, driving continuous improvement of security capabilities and platform construction
• Work closely with infrastructure, group risk control, and other departments to promote the implementation of security capabilities throughout the company

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree or above in a computer-related field
• More than 3 years of research and development experience
• Proficiency in Golang, with multi-language development capabilities in Java, Python, or similar
• A solid foundation in data structures and ability to support high-performance, high-reliability system development
• Familiarity with common security issues such as XSS, SQL injection, permission bypass, and data leakage, and their corresponding protection mechanisms
• Familiarity with common security frameworks and middleware, with good system design skills and engineering thinking
• Strong communication and promotion skills, ability to independently take charge of projects and collaborate across teams

Nice to have

• Experience in security research and development of large-scale high-concurrency systems
• Participation in data security, privacy compliance, audit system, or related platform construction
• Contributions to open source security projects, CVE submissions, or security competition wins
• Familiarity with Cloud Native security technologies such as Kubernetes, microservice architecture, and zero trust
