Principal Tech & Product Engineer

As a Principal Tech & Product Engineer at Bybit, you own the development and maintenance of the exchange monitoring and alerting platform serving over 80 million users. You build the observability system covering Metrics, Logs, and Tracing, and drive system stability initiatives across one of the world's leading cryptocurrency exchanges.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain the exchange monitoring and alerting platform
• Build the observability system covering Metrics, Logs, and Tracing
• Optimise capabilities such as alert noise reduction, distributed tracing, and anomaly analysis
• Drive system stability initiatives, including SLA management, monitoring coverage, incident detection, and emergency response
• Continuously improve the monitoring platform's performance, availability, and user experience

What you bring

• 3+ years of Java backend development experience
• Proficiency with observability technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, SkyWalking, or OpenTelemetry
• Familiarity with common infrastructure components including MySQL, Redis, and Kafka
• Familiarity with stream and batch processing engines such as Flink or Spark Streaming
• Familiarity with storage engines such as Thanos, Druid, and ClickHouse
• Familiarity with microservice architecture and cloud-native ecosystems including Kubernetes and Docker
• Strong system design and troubleshooting skills

Nice to have

• Experience in stability governance or monitoring platform development
