Principal Technical Program Manager

As a Principal Technical Program Manager at Ripple, you lead large cross-functional programs linked to the company's crypto solutions for financial institutions, businesses, governments, and developers. You report to the Head of TPM within Ripple Core and partner closely with product and engineering teams to design robust, scalable systems, lead product schedules, remove roadblocks, and ensure high development velocity. This is a challenging, technical role requiring you to synthesize business and technical requirements while providing strategic foresight into Ripple's current and future customer needs.

What you'll do

• Develop department-level priorities and strategy across strategic product initiatives by understanding customers and technology deeply
• Reduce ambiguity and risk by proactively identifying and eliminating bottlenecks and obstacles, raising issues strategically, and making sound data-driven decisions that deliver for customers
• Communicate with purpose and clarity, bringing together cross-functional teams to achieve program objectives
• Be a role model and an inspiring leader for other TPMs
• Create technical frameworks that engineering teams can use for decision-making
• Improve the efficiency of Operational Excellence processes across the organization
• Partner with program managers, product managers, and engineering managers to understand development priorities and drive alignment across multiple partners with impactful priorities
• Coordinate testing and release dependencies for assigned engineering teams and across teams as products converge for release
• Build release, bug, and progress-tracking dashboards to advise partners on development progress and gaps

What you bring

• 12+ years of release and/or technical program management experience on projects involving sophisticated enterprise tech environments, working directly with many teams across functions
• Ability to use data and analytics to assess trends and lead health of projects and systems
• Understanding and working knowledge of software development and modern project management standard processes, such as Agile, Scrum, and Six Sigma
• Ability to coordinate multi-functionally, build consensus, and deliver across teams; ability to influence without authority, negotiate, and encourage others in a matrixed environment
• Experience with project planning tools such as Jira and Confluence, and proficiency in Google Sheets
• Experience crafting or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling
• Experience in Payments, Custody, Stablecoin, and/or Blockchain ecosystems
