Product Manager - Automation

As a Product Manager for Automation at Luno, you own the product surface for operational automation across the business. You bring thought leadership and a product mindset to automating both critical operational work and our build processes. You build genuine relationships with stakeholders across teams who are counting on you to help them succeed, and you win buy-in from operational and engineering teams for change they didn't ask for. This is a new and exciting area for Luno, core to the company's strategy.

What you'll do

• Deliver against an agreed set of automation opportunities with Customer Success, Onboarding Operations, Anti-Financial Crime and other operational teams, reducing manual work, increasing quality, or reducing risk
• Understand the processes and systems behind each opportunity deeply enough to redesign them with a technology partner, not just automate what already exists
• Decide, case by case and with guidance, what should be automated versus what needs human judgement to stay ethical and compliant
• Build relationships with operational leaders that make each rollout successful, ensuring their teams trust what you ship

What you bring

• 3+ years as a Product Manager, ideally including work for internal operational or engineering users, not only external end users
• Comfort operating at the intersection of product and compliance, without waiting for someone else to define the problem
• The ability to quantify impact, risk and confidence, and use that to prioritise work
• Experience both building solutions and buying them, and the ability to weigh one against the other honestly
• Experience sourcing or managing third-party vendors
• Clear stakeholder communication, turning technical or compliance decisions into something an engineering team can build against
• Experience working with engineering teams in an agile, continuous-delivery rhythm
• Demonstrable experience with AI tools, both for building products and engineering tooling that accelerates delivery (such as Claude or Lovable), and for running AI embedded in production systems (such as LLMs summarising operational data)
