Product Manager - Institutional Onboarding & Verification

As a Product Manager for Institutional Onboarding & Verification at Luno, you own how businesses and institutions gain access to Luno's rails and everything built on them. You will run onboarding and verification as a single, configurable platform across business lines and regions, balancing fast, trusted access with regulatory compliance. You join the team that built and maintains Luno's identity verification system across all markets for both retail and institutional customers.

What you'll do

• Own the business and institutional onboarding platform end-to-end: KYB, verification, screening, periodic refresh, and the journey from first application to first transaction
• Build configuration per business line so that Luno Institutional and BlockTower each operate with their own CDD standards and risk appetite in segregated environments
• Measure time-to-onboard and abandonment, find where institutions drop out, discover why, and design the changes that fix it
• Own the relationship with verification vendors: integration, performance, cost and roadmap planning
• Extend the platform to multi-region and global onboarding by working with legal, risk and country teams to turn regulatory positions into compliant products
• Partner with operations teams to reduce manual effort per case, so specialists handle complex work and automations handle the rest

What you bring

• 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager in a regulated fintech, crypto or financial services business
• A track record building products in onboarding, identity, KYC/KYB, compliance tooling or an adjacent domain
• Technical comfort where product meets integration: vendor APIs, environment configuration, and how identity data moves between systems, in enough depth to make good trade-offs with engineers
• Rigour with data: you can find where a journey leaks, quantify what it costs, and prioritise accordingly
• Ownership of delivery, not just definition: you work with engineering teams in a continuous rhythm and hold yourself accountable for what ships and what it achieves
• Stakeholder management as a craft: keeping operations, vendors and institutional customers aligned, communicating risks early, and garnering support through clear, concise writing
• Ability to work well with compliance, legal and risk teams, and to hold a position on customer experience while respecting regulatory obligations
• Experience managing third-party vendors as product dependencies: selection, integration and ongoing performance
• Comfort in front of external stakeholders such as institutional customers, vendors and partners, and the ability to represent the product credibly to all of them
• Use of AI as part of how you work in discovery, analysis, writing and prototyping, and the ability to show where it has changed your output, not just your tooling
