QA Engineer

As a QA Engineer at Coins, you'll own automated testing for software projects serving the most established crypto brand in the Philippines. Coins is fully regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and holds both Virtual Currency and Electronic Money Issuer licenses, serving more than 18 million users through its mobile app and financial services platform.

What you'll do

• Design and execute automated test cases to ensure comprehensive and accurate test coverage across software projects
• Participate in requirement analysis and test plan formulation, proposing reasonable test strategies and improvements
• Build and maintain automated test frameworks, continuously optimizing test processes to improve efficiency and quality
• Focus on testing payment-related functional modules to ensure security, stability, and accuracy of payment processes, including payment interface calls and payment status synchronization
• Conduct interaction testing with various payment channels such as banks and third-party payment platforms, verifying correctness, compatibility, and reliability of channel integration
• Write test reports, record test results, and analyze test data to provide a basis for project quality improvement
• Collaborate closely with development, product, and other teams, communicating issues identified during testing in a timely manner to promote problem resolution

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree or above in a computer-related field
• More than 3 years of experience in software automated testing
• Proficiency in at least one automated testing tool such as Selenium or Appium, with familiarity in designing and implementing automated test frameworks
• Rich experience testing payment-related projects with a good understanding of payment business processes including order generation, payment processing, refund, and reconciliation
• Experience testing interactions with payment channels such as banks and third-party payment institutions, with knowledge of channel interface specifications and interaction mechanisms
• Familiarity with software testing processes and methods including functional testing, performance testing, and interface testing, with strong ability in problem analysis and localization
• Mastery of at least one programming language such as Java or Python, with ability in code writing and debugging
• Knowledge of basic database concepts and proficiency in using SQL statements for data query and operation
