
As a Quantitative Trader at Jump Trading, you work closely with experienced Traders and Quantitative Researchers to analyse strategy performance, understand market complexities, and develop profitable predictive trading models. You dive deep into how algorithmic strategies perform, debug infrastructure challenges, and fine-tune strategies in real time as markets shift.
What you'll do
- Provide strategy analysis, market knowledge, and technical expertise to support the trading team
- Conduct deep analysis of strategy performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Debug and resolve challenging infrastructure issues affecting trading systems
- Fine-tune algorithmic strategies on-the-fly to ensure optimal performance in response to changing market conditions
What you bring
- A highly analytical mind capable of thinking critically, identifying patterns, and making sound decisions
- 2+ years of programming or software engineering experience, with Python preferred
- A good understanding of Linux administration
- Strong communication and written skills, with ability to travel and network within a global organisation
- A strong desire to learn about financial markets, both microstructure and macro
- Inquisitive and self-driven approach to diving into complex problems and finding ways to improve the business
- Reliable and predictable availability

- Background in Statistics or Machine Learning
