As a Regulatory Affairs Manager (Crypto) at Revolut, you'll be the regulatory liaison for Revolut's standalone UK crypto entity, ensuring transparent, compliant, and efficient communication with the FCA and other supervisory bodies under the UK's new cryptoasset regime. You'll sit within the Compliance team as a second line of defence, maintaining and developing relationships with external regulators while responding to enquiries and monitoring regulatory developments.
What you'll do
- Communicate clearly with regulators and the business, breaking down complex information into digestible chunks
- Keep regulators up to date with new products, initiatives, and ad hoc updates
- Respond to Requests for Information, coordinate supervisory visits, and manage formal regulatory notifications including those related to operational incidents
- Monitor UK crypto regulatory developments and map new obligations to internal controls
- Coordinate regulatory positions with Revolut's crypto entities in other jurisdictions, including Gibraltar, Dubai, and Europe
- Work with the wider Risk and Compliance team to share communications during an incident
- Prepare management reports and information for regulator meetings, internal committees, and the Board
- Deliver training and updates to product teams and the wider business on regulatory requirements and changes
- Build processes and documentation for the team in a scalable and sustainable way
- Champion conduct and compliance across the business
What you bring
- 4+ years of experience working in a compliance or risk function at a regulated financial services firm, fintech, or regulator
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, project management, and negotiation skills
- Knowledge and experience of best practice in regional financial institutions regulations and direct experience engaging with UK regulators and managing FCA supervisory relationships
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills to analyse complex information and identify key issues and actions to drive resolutions
- Deep knowledge of the UK regulatory environment, including cryptoasset regulation (MLRs, financial promotions, and the incoming FSMA cryptoasset regime)
- An understanding of digital assets and market infrastructure (trading, custody), as well as payments and e-money systems
Nice to have
- A bachelor's degree in law and a relevant master's degree
- Experience working at or directly with the FCA
- Familiarity with other crypto regulatory frameworks, such as Gibraltar (GFSC), Dubai (VARA), or EU MiCA
