Research Associate

As a Research Associate at CryptoMize, you join the research cell that produces publication-standard research for live political engagements across 18 countries. You work on a full-time, permanent basis from our New Delhi HQ, contributing to campaigns, governance mandates, and policy work through reports, presentations, policy documents, and landscape studies that drive campaign strategy and narrative.

What you'll do

• Plan and conduct research for live engagements, managing data, conducting interviews, and running the collection designs senior researchers set
• Create publications for political communication including reports, presentations, and policy documents that summarise campaigns
• Conceptualise and conduct landscape studies, analysing data from multiple sources to drive overall campaign strategy and narrative
• Contribute to multiple research projects at once, moving between political, governance, and policy questions as engagements demand
• Monitor the progress of research projects and coordinate information between departmental sections to ensure nothing arrives late or duplicated
• Work with data engineers to construct and maintain the databases that every subsequent analysis runs on
• Solve complex unstructured problems in real time, with tangible impact on governance and politics
• Identify new resources and methods the research cell can use to reach its goals faster

What you bring

• Strong research design capability, from question through collection to defensible finding
• Publication-grade writing on political affairs
• Knowledge of landscape-study methodology across multiple data sources
• Project coordination experience between research and departmental sections
• Interviewing and primary-collection techniques
• Database literacy and the ability to work with engineers on data structures
• Real-time problem decomposition on unstructured questions
• Cross-domain range across politics, governance, and policy
• Source evaluation and provenance discipline
• Ability to present findings to non-research decision-makers
• Discretion with politically sensitive material (non-negotiable)

Nice to have

• Experience with OSINT collection frameworks
• Familiarity with reference-management and publication toolchains
• SQL proficiency for research-database interrogation
• Experience with structured landscape-study templates
