Risk & Fraud Detection Analyst - Mandarin (HK Digital Asset & Crypto)

As a Risk & Fraud Detection Analyst at ConnectOS, you protect the company's financial ecosystem by monitoring, detecting, and mitigating payment fraud and financial crimes across crypto, Web3, and virtual card issuance platforms. You design end-to-end risk control strategies, analyze large datasets for suspicious activity, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and card networks. This role requires fluency in Mandarin and English.

What you'll do

• Analyze transaction and user behavior data to identify patterns in card deposit and withdrawal flows, including Card-Not-Present fraud, cash-out abuse, and malicious chargebacks
• Design, deploy, and refine risk control strategies such as blacklists, whitelists, rule engines, and risk scoring for application, transaction, and account-level monitoring
• Conduct in-depth investigations into suspicious transactions and organized fraud rings, translating insights into actionable playbooks
• Track key performance indicators including strategy hit rates, false-positive rates, and fraud loss rates to continuously optimize rules
• Partner with product, engineering, compliance, customer support, external banks, and card networks to resolve risk incidents

What you bring

• 2+ years of relevant risk control experience within crypto and Web3 platforms, cross-border payments, or payment anti-fraud systems
• Strong understanding of payment flows including 3DS, chargebacks, and Card-Not-Present fraud
• Strong understanding of virtual and prepaid card issuance, anti-fraud, and AML detection
• Proficiency in SQL for independent data extraction
• Fluency in both spoken and written Mandarin and English

Nice to have

• Experience with Python or BI tools such as Tableau or Metabase
• Experience with machine learning risk models
• Familiarity with card network programs such as Visa VAMP or Mastercard Excessive Chargeback Program
• Knowledge of global regulatory frameworks including MSB, MiCA, and VASP
