Security Engineer Intern - Summer 2027

As a Security Engineer Intern at DV Trading, you'll get hands-on exposure to a real trading firm's security program during summer 2027. You'll work directly with our security engineers on scoped projects that support day-to-day operations, threat detection, and risk management.

What you'll do

• Support day-to-day security operations under the guidance of your mentor
• Help triage, document, and track security detections and incidents
• Assist with tuning and maintaining security tooling
• Contribute to automation and scripting projects that streamline security workflows
• Support risk assessments, gap analysis, and control testing
• Help produce reporting and metrics on security program health
• Assist with security awareness initiatives across the firm

What you bring

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
• Interest in cybersecurity and eagerness to learn
• Basic familiarity with Windows, macOS, Linux, and networking fundamentals
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills

Nice to have

• Exposure to scripting or programming such as Python or PowerShell
• Coursework or personal projects involving AI and ML
