Senior Accountant

As a Senior Accountant at BitGo, you will manage key accounting functions and ensure the accuracy of financial records for a digital asset infrastructure company. You will support month-end and year-end close and reporting processes across BitGo's global operations, including its regulated entities such as BitGo Bank & Trust, National Association, the first federally chartered digital asset trust bank owned by a publicly traded company.

What you'll do

• Perform and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals for month-end and year-end close
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial reports
• Manage multi-currency accounting and foreign exchange transactions
• Coordinate month-end and year-end close across international subsidiaries
• Handle intercompany reconciliations and eliminations
• Support the preparation of schedules for external audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements
• Recommend and implement improvements to accounting systems, procedures, and internal controls
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and SOX where applicable
• Work closely with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, FP&A, and other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information
• Provide support for special projects, system implementations, and process automation efforts

What you bring

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3 to 6 years of progressive accounting experience, with a mix of public accounting and industry experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles
• Strong foreign exchange transaction experience
• Strong intercompany reconciliation and elimination experience
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite or Oracle, and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• CPA or CPA eligibility strongly preferred

Nice to have

• Experience in inventory management
• Experience in a publicly traded technology, fintech, SaaS, or digital asset company
• Experience in month-end close, audit support, and financial reporting
• Familiarity with consolidation and foreign currency accounting
