Senior Accountant

As a Senior Accountant at Rain, you will build and operate the financial foundation of a global digital-asset and payments platform. You'll partner closely with Finance, Product, Engineering, Legal, Tax, and Operations to support a rapidly scaling business that spans multiple international entities, regulated payment flows, and both stablecoins and other digital assets.

What you'll do

• Drive process improvements and automation by partnering cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Data teams to enhance reporting quality
• Execute month-end close activities, including variance analysis and reconciliations across balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Maintain accuracy and completeness of the digital asset ledger across multiple entities
• Build scalable reconciliation frameworks that support the month-end close, external audit, and regulatory requirements
• Develop repeatable processes and checklists to support growth and operational scale
• Ensure intercompany accounts are properly reconciled and consolidated
• Perform revaluation and translation for international subsidiaries on a monthly basis
• Analyze revenue contracts to ensure they are appropriately accounted for under ASC 606
• Ensure invoices are accurate and billed to customers in a timely manner
• Provide support for special projects, system implementations, and acquisition integrations

What you bring

• 3-5 years of accounting or finance experience
• Proven ability to improve processes, drive automation, and enhance operational efficiency
• Strong command of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606
• Experience working with large datasets and complex reconciliations
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally in a remote-first, high-growth environment

Nice to have

• Experience with accounting systems such as NetSuite or QuickBooks
• Exposure to fintech, payments, or crypto-native companies
• Big 4 experience and/or CPA designation
