As a Senior Accounting Analyst at Jump Trading, you support the global operations by maintaining the integrity of the general ledger across multiple legal entities. You own centralized accounting functions including compensation, equity, consolidations, and cash reconciliations, ensuring the books and records of Jump's subsidiaries remain complete, accurate, and GAAP-compliant while enabling the department to support current business and future growth.
What you'll do
- Drive month-end close processes across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions, managing reconciliations across systems and data to ensure accurate, GAAP-compliant financial reporting with strong controls.
- Manage automated daily cash activity reconciliations across all entities, investigate breaks, post resolutions to keep the general ledger clean, and identify opportunities for additional automation.
- Analyze monthly variances to explain business performance trends and surface anomalies.
- Support global intercompany and consolidations processes, organizing cross-entity activity in a complex, multinational structure.
- Tackle ad hoc analyses and open-ended questions, continuously streamlining and strengthening processes.
- Partner with external auditors and tax teams to build supporting schedules and document the accounting behind your firm's financials.
- Contribute to finance automation and AI initiatives, applying new tools to reconciliations, reporting, and close processes.
What you bring
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- CPA certification or progress towards CPA certification.
- 4+ years of accounting experience owning the general ledger, reconciling complex accounts, and improving close processes in a fast-paced, multi-entity organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel, and familiarity with NetSuite or other accounting software. Comfort adopting new technology and automation tools.
- An analytical and detail-oriented mindset with the curiosity to dig past the numbers to understand the story behind them.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to translate financial information and flag issues early.
- Self-direction, adaptability, and dependability to juggle competing deadlines, work independently and as part of a team, especially during critical close periods.
