Senior Advanced Software Engineer and Lead for Crypto & Cross Domain Solutions

As a Senior Advanced Software Engineer and Lead for Crypto and Cross Domain Solutions at General Dynamics Mission Systems, you serve as a software architect and lead developer responsible for the software development of Crypto and Cross Domain Solution products. You lead a cross-functional team within the Space, Cyber and Intelligence division, guiding them through the full software development lifecycle while applying technical standards and methodologies to solve complex challenges.

What you'll do

• Architect and lead the design of software solutions for Crypto and Cross Domain products
• Lead a cross-functional software development team through the complete development lifecycle
• Apply technical standards and methodologies to solve engineering challenges
• Provide technical leadership and mentor team members for success
• Identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant software engineering experience; or a Master's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience
• Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
• U.S. citizenship
• Demonstrated success leading the software development lifecycle
• Exceptional communication skills with the capacity to secure buy-in on concepts and ideas
• Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and your team

Nice to have

• Embedded software development experience
• Experience with Linux application development
• Linux administration and SELinux experience
• Proficiency in C/C++, C#, Java, Python, or Rust
• Experience with Git and GitLab
• Experience with BASH, sed, and awk

• Salary range of USD $157,487 to USD $174,713 per year
