Senior Android Developer - Wallet

As a Senior Android Developer at Binance, you own the feature development and architecture optimization of the MPC Wallet Android client. You join a team building security-critical wallet infrastructure for the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, working across Android, iOS, backend, and Web to ensure multi-platform consistency in a blockchain ecosystem trusted by 300+ million users worldwide.

What you'll do

• Own feature development and architecture optimization of the MPC Wallet Android client, ensuring code quality and maintainability
• Implement client-side security modules including key management, MPC signing flows, and device binding
• Align interfaces (API/Proto) with iOS, backend, and Web teams to ensure multi-platform consistency and compatibility
• Continuously optimize app startup speed, memory usage, network requests, and UI rendering performance
• Write unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and drive engineering standards and CI/CD pipeline development
• Track new technologies in the Android ecosystem, evaluate and introduce suitable tools and frameworks for the team

What you bring

• 5+ years of native Android development experience, with a track record of shipping commercial products end-to-end
• Proficiency in Kotlin as your primary language, with familiarity in Java
• Solid command of Android SDK and Jetpack components (Lifecycle, ViewModel, Navigation, Room, WorkManager, etc.)
• Familiarity with Jetpack Compose or traditional View system; capability to independently build complex UI
• Knowledge of common architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVI, or Clean Architecture
• Familiarity with networking frameworks (OkHttp, Retrofit), serialization (Protobuf or JSON), and dependency injection (Hilt or Koin)
• Familiarity with Android security mechanisms: KeyStore, encrypted storage, certificate pinning, code obfuscation and hardening
• Good code review habits and familiarity with Git workflows (feature branching, PR review)
• Adeptness at using AI-assisted tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT) to boost development efficiency
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multi-platform teams

Nice to have

• Understanding of major blockchains (BTC, ETH, Solana) and experience with wallet apps or DApps
• Understanding of cryptography fundamentals: symmetric/asymmetric encryption, digital signatures, key derivation (BIP-32/39/44), MPC/TSS concepts
• Experience with React Native, WebView bridging, JS Bridge development, or familiarity with TypeScript
• Experience integrating Go libraries via gomobile (e.g. Go-based MPC core library) and understanding of cross-language binding and debugging
• Experience with financial-grade or custody-grade products, and understanding of compliance, audit, and risk control requirements
• Knowledge of Android reverse engineering and security protection: cracking, reverse analysis, Hook, Root/Jailbreak detection, anti-debugging, memory protection, and data leak prevention
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools such as GitHub Actions, Fastlane, and automated testing
• Experience integrating LLM or AI Agents into daily development workflows (code generation, code review, automated testing, documentation), or understanding of prompt engineering
