Senior Android Engineer, Wallet

As a Senior Android Engineer on the Robinhood Wallet team, you build and own new product features for the Robinhood Wallet Android app. You develop reliable and secure solutions to deliver a high-quality trading experience for cryptocurrencies and tokenized stocks, including perpetual futures, to customers worldwide. You take lead responsibility for designing scalable mobile architectures, defining code standards, and maintaining high-quality codebases while mentoring other developers and raising overall engineering standards.

What you'll do

• Build intuitive, elegant, and stable mobile experiences using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android APIs
• Lead the full lifecycle of product features from ideation and technical design to implementation, testing, and release
• Collaborate closely with product managers, product designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to create impactful solutions
• Champion mobile development standards and code review processes that ensure high quality, scalability, and maintainability
• Mentor other developers and help elevate team standards and collaboration

What you bring

• 5+ years of professional experience developing Android applications
• Proficiency with Kotlin and/or Java, and a strong grasp of Android SDK and architecture patterns like MVVM
• Experience using Jetpack Compose, Coroutines and Flow or RxJava, and libraries such as Retrofit and Room
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with a product-focused perspective
• Demonstrated ability to mentor peers, lead complex projects, and influence architecture decisions

Nice to have

• Experience working for a DeFi protocol, a crypto wallet company, or another blockchain-related company
• Familiarity with EVM blockchains and smart contracts
