Senior Backend Engineer

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Triple-A, you will build and run the services behind stablecoin deposits, payouts, wallets and settlement. You own features end to end, from design to production monitoring, where correctness and traceability matter as much as speed.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain payment gateway features: checkout and payment pages, payment links, payment status handling and merchant webhooks
• Build APIs and background jobs for deposits, payouts, refunds, sweeping and balances
• Extend blockchain and custody integrations with custody providers, exchanges, and chain data providers
• Ship partner-facing APIs and signed webhooks with clear, versioned contracts
• Investigate production discrepancies using logs, traces and SQL, and fix them at the root
• Improve test coverage, CI speed and runbooks; take part in on-call rotations
• Contribute to architecture decisions and design reviews for the services you own
• Review code and mentor mid-level engineers

What you bring

• 5+ years in backend engineering, with 2+ years in fintech or crypto
• Strong Typescript and REST API design
• Experience with payment gateways or payment processing: checkout flows, payment states, refunds, and webhooks
• Solid PostgreSQL skills: transactions, locking, migrations, and query optimization
• Understanding of blockchain basics: transactions, confirmations, gas and fees, tokens, stablecoins across networks
• Experience with idempotency, retries, scheduled jobs and reconciling with external systems
• Comfort working in an established codebase and owning problems to resolution

Nice to have

• Experience contributing to system design and architecture
• Familiarity with custody and non-custody providers, Web3 or Solana libraries, blockchain nodes or indexers
• Experience with Typescript, Rust or Go; ledger or accounting systems
• AWS, Docker, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, gRPC, or WebSockets
