Senior Backend Engineer

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Uniswap Labs, you help build the next generation of financial products for the world's largest DEX. Uniswap Protocol has facilitated over $4 trillion in volume across 17 chains. You join a team reshaping how value flows on the internet, contributing to products including the Uniswap Web App, Wallet, Trading API, and Unichain, a DeFi-native Ethereum Layer 2.

What you'll do

• Write high-quality, well-tested code and review code from other team members
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to turn requirements into products and lead execution end to end
• Provide guidance and technical leadership to peers in navigating architectural and coding tradeoffs
• Drive strategic technical initiatives across engineering pods that impact the entire organization

What you bring

• 6+ years of software engineering experience
• Excellent coding skills, deep understanding of cloud architectures and algorithms, and strong debugging capabilities
• Experience managing projects comprehensively from requirements gathering and design through debugging, testing, release management, and operational monitoring
• Proven ability to design, build, and maintain large-scale production systems on the cloud with high availability
• Ability to build systems from the ground up in a 0 to 1 fashion
• A commitment to staying current with modern best practices in software development and Web3, and shaping the tech stack as new systems are built
• Experience mentoring junior engineers

Nice to have

• Prior experience as a Technical Lead
• Experience with time-series based monitoring and observability systems
• A degree in computer science
• Experience with TypeScript
• Experience with AWS

• Minimum full-time salary of $180,000 to $226,000, in accordance with New York City pay transparency law
