Senior Blockchain Engineer

As a Senior Blockchain Engineer at Time Seventeen, you will design and operate secure blockchain infrastructure that connects on-chain liquidity, custody, settlement, and market data. You'll build the on-chain components and integrations that link event-based risk products to digital market infrastructure, combining protocol understanding with production discipline: secure signing, dependable indexing, transaction state management, and explicit trust boundaries.

What you'll do

• Own production integrations across chains, protocols, wallets, and custody providers
• Design reliable transaction, indexing, reconciliation, and monitoring systems
• Review smart contract and protocol risks and establish secure engineering practices
• Lead incident response and technical decisions for critical on-chain workflows
• Design integrations with documented oracle, collateral, upgrade, and settlement assumptions, and establish monitoring and recovery procedures for on-chain incidents
• Document important decisions, assumptions, and limitations so colleagues can review your work and extend it without relying on undocumented context

What you bring

• Deep experience building production blockchain or distributed systems
• Strong knowledge of transaction lifecycle, signing, RPC infrastructure, and chain data
• A security-first mindset and experience operating systems where correctness is critical
• Proficiency in languages such as Rust, Go, TypeScript, Python, or Solidity
• The ability to explain complex work clearly, distinguish evidence from assumptions, and update your view when new information warrants it
• Interest in building infrastructure for geopolitical and catastrophe risk, with a willingness to learn the financial and technical context beyond your own specialty
