Senior Blockchain Engineer

Join Vontobel's IT Security division in Zurich as a Senior Blockchain Engineer and Architect. You will take on software development, security architecture design, and technical ownership of blockchain and security solutions in an agile team environment.

What you'll do

• Develop software solutions related to blockchain technology and other security solutions
• Design and develop security architecture
• Own technical responsibility for security solutions

What you bring

• A degree in computer science or equivalent IT qualification from a higher education institution
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience
• In-depth technical expertise in blockchain solutions
• Proven experience as a software developer in IT security
• Deep understanding of enterprise-grade crypto custody, including concepts like DLT, derivation paths, key ceremonies, change addresses, smart contracts, multi-sig, and BIP39
• Strong motivation, commitment to taking on responsibility, and a drive to continuously improve your expertise
• Agility and flexibility with a passion for working in an energetic, collaborative team
• Affinity for Artificial Intelligence and willingness to embrace AI-enabled tools and ways of working
