Senior Business IT Engineer, Atlassian Cloud

As a Senior Business IT Engineer at Bitpanda, you'll drive architectural strategy for Atlassian Cloud at enterprise scale across a high-growth fintech ecosystem. You serve as a key technical partner to cross-functional teams, solving complex integration challenges, building advanced automations, and shaping governance models to support fast-moving business needs while mentoring junior engineers.

What you'll do

• Lead the architecture, configuration, and optimisation of Atlassian Cloud products at enterprise scale, establishing standardised configurations, schemes, and governance models to prevent system bloat
• Analyse complex business requirements from cross-functional stakeholders and translate them into scalable, robust technical solutions from needs analysis through delivery and documentation
• Design advanced Jira reports, high-level dashboards, and customised planning views for leadership and various business units
• Build advanced automations and integrations with enterprise tools using third-party apps and REST APIs
• Conduct specialised training for employees, advocate for Atlassian best practices across the company, and mentor junior team members to elevate overall technical capability

What you bring

• Mastery of Atlassian Cloud systems and the ability to architect them for scale
• 3+ years of hands-on experience administering, engineering, and scaling Atlassian Cloud systems in a large, fast-paced enterprise or scale-up environment, plus several years as a Business IT Engineer
• Hands-on experience with Assets (formerly Insight), advanced automation (native, JMWE, ScriptRunner), and REST APIs
• Strong stakeholder management skills, comfort consulting with internal users daily, and ability to push back on anti-patterns while steering teams toward sustainable best practices

Nice to have

• Experience with apps such as Extension for JSM, EazyBI, and Xray
• Scripting experience in Groovy, JavaScript, or Python
