Senior Consultant – AML/AFC | Digital Assets & Crypto

As a Senior Consultant in AML/AFC at Protiviti Italia, you'll join an innovative project with a leading financial services operator, strengthening Anti-Financial Crime controls for digital asset initiatives, with a focus on Digital Asset Custody. You'll work on high-value projects to reinforce KYC, Financial Screening, and Transaction Monitoring safeguards, support on-chain investigation activities, and drive the evolution of AFC processes and tools applied to crypto-assets.

What you'll do

• Strengthen KYC, Financial Screening, and Transaction Monitoring controls for digital asset operations
• Support on-chain investigation activities and analysis
• Contribute to the evolution of Anti-Financial Crime processes and tools applied to crypto-assets
• Apply AML/CFT expertise to digital asset and crypto-related risk profiles

What you bring

• A degree in Economics, Law, Engineering, STEM disciplines, or related fields
• 2-5 years of professional experience, preferably in consulting firms, financial institutions, or Compliance/Anti-Financial Crime functions
• Strong knowledge of AML/CFT, Anti-Financial Crime, Compliance, Risk Management, or Transaction Monitoring
• Knowledge of the crypto-assets and digital assets landscape, key operational models, and associated risk profiles
• Knowledge of main AFC controls applicable to crypto-assets, with particular focus on KYC, Financial Screening, and Transaction Monitoring
• Knowledge of crypto-specific topics such as CASP, blockchain analytics, on-chain investigation, Travel Rule, unhosted wallets, and nested relationships
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities with a collaborative mindset
• Good command of English

Nice to have

• Direct experience using blockchain analytics tools or conducting on-chain investigations and Transaction Monitoring for crypto-related activities

• Salary starting from EUR 35,000 gross per year (fixed plus variable) for the Senior Consultant role, for candidates with at least two years of experience in the role, subject to variation based on profile evaluation
