Senior Corporate Accountant

As a Senior Corporate Accountant at Robinhood, you'll join the Corporate Accounting team as the company scales rapidly. You'll analyze and explain financial fluctuations, maintain accurate books through the monthly close, and partner with stakeholders across Finance, Legal, Treasury, and external auditors to keep everything audit-ready and compliant with GAAP.

What you'll do

• Analyze and explain monthly balance sheet and income statement fluctuations and variances
• Record and reconcile accrual and prepaid transactions, including preparing and maintaining monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analysis
• Assist with compiling internal team requests and external audit requests
• Research important accounting issues and recommend best practices and applications in accordance with GAAP
• Lead meetings with stakeholders across departments
• Partner with stakeholders across the business on shared accounting priorities
• Work with various departments to streamline data flow and processes
• Assist with system automation projects as needed

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 3-5 years of total experience, preferably combined in public accounting and industry
• Understanding of GAAP standards
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Experience with process improvement and proficiency with spreadsheets
• Experience with foreign entity accounting

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience in the financial close process

• Base pay of $94,000-$110,000 USD (Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; Bellevue, WA; Washington, DC), $82,000-$97,000 USD (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL), or $73,000-$86,000 USD (Lake Mary, FL; Clearwater, FL; Gainesville, FL), plus bonus opportunities and equity
