Senior Director of Engineering

As Senior Director of Engineering at Lattice, you lead the Talent Engineering organization spanning 50+ engineers and managers across a portfolio of customer-facing products in Performance Management, Engagement Surveys, and Goal Setting. You shape how organizations develop their people through AI-powered talent management experiences, balancing customer needs, product priorities, and engineering investment while coaching senior leaders and driving organizational health.

What you'll do

• Lead the Talent Engineering organization of 50+ engineers and managers, making thoughtful tradeoffs across customer needs, product priorities, and engineering investment.
• Coach and develop engineering managers and senior leaders across Lattice Engineering while raising the bar for leadership, execution, and organizational health.
• Ensure a delightful, reliable experience for Lattice customers globally while enabling rapid product development.
• Partner closely with Product and Design to define, plan, and prioritize product strategy and roadmap.
• Represent Lattice in conversations with key prospects and customers.
• Collaborate with the broader Engineering leadership team to shape department-wide strategy and goals.
• Scale systems, processes, and organizational practices that enable multiple teams to plan effectively, deliver reliably, and learn quickly.

What you bring

• 10+ years of engineering management experience, including at least 5 years leading an engineering organization with multiple teams and multiple layers of leadership.
• Experience managing engineering investment across a portfolio of products and making thoughtful tradeoffs under resource constraints.
• A track record shipping high-quality products where quality, trust, reliability, and scalability are essential to customer success.
• A high degree of autonomy, ownership, and sound judgment, with the ability to operate with a CEO mindset.
• Demonstrated ability to develop engineering leaders, including both individual contributors and managers.
• An eye for great products and the ability to work cross-functionally to deliver them.
• Strong communication and executive presence, with the ability to influence decisions across Engineering, Product, Design, and company leadership.
• Curiosity about AI and its potential to improve how organizations develop their people.
