Senior Engineer - Payment & Wallet

As a Senior Engineer at SBI Coinhako, you'll join the Payments & Wallet team (PAW), the core group handling asset management, compliance, and On-chain Services & Integrations (Superwallet). You'll design, develop, and maintain high-performance services that power the payments and wallet infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration across systems, optimize transaction workflows, and enhance platform reliability and scalability.

What you'll do

• Architect and build scalable backend services using Rails 7, Go, Sidekiq, REST, AWS, and Docker
• Design and build high-volume APIs used by frontends and external traders
• Take initiative to ensure long-term code quality and drive architectural decisions for production systems
• Manage and maintain custody solutions for digital assets, ensuring the highest level of security and compliance in handling and storing cryptocurrencies, tokens, and digital records
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers during various product development stages
• Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes

What you bring

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong understanding of good practices for building and working with APIs
• 5+ years of experience building scalable distributed systems with a strong background in Ruby
• Comfort with ambiguity and scoping solutions collaboratively with teammates
• Organizational skills, proactivity, and ability to manage your own work
• Knowledge of cryptography and security principles in blockchain as well as compliance and regulatory frameworks for cryptocurrency
