Senior Engineering Director, Trading Services

As a Senior Engineering Director of Trading Services at OKX, you lead the engineering team that powers OKX's core trading infrastructure, the systems that keep millions of users trading reliably 24/7 at global scale. You build the backbone that other engineering teams depend on, working across a crypto exchange and Web3 wallet platform trusted by hundreds of large institutions.

What you'll do

• Design and build high-availability, low-latency distributed services that power core trading flows
• Own service reliability end-to-end: architecture, performance tuning, monitoring, and incident response
• Partner with Product and cross-functional engineering teams to translate trading requirements into scalable system design
• Drive technical best practices through code reviews, design reviews, and mentorship of peers
• Contribute to Kafka-based messaging architecture and event-driven system design at scale

What you bring

• A Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
• Demonstrated experience adopting AI tools in the engineering workflow, able to evaluate and integrate AI capabilities into day-to-day development
• Hands-on experience in Microservice and API development using Java, SpringBoot, and SpringCloud
• Strong knowledge of multi-threading and distributed architecture, and understanding of messaging frameworks such as Kafka
• Proficiency in relational database design and development
• Comfort working in a cloud-based Linux environment
• Proven experience in automated testing and continuous integration
• Knowledge of integrating with 3rd party software via APIs and SDKs
• Current right to work in Singapore without requiring visa sponsorship
